Charlie fights with the Deaconess, a woman who tries to bring religion to the Grunts so she might use them as her personal army. Brian must gain Charlie’s trust if he is ever to learn the secrets of the Homestead, and must defeat the Deaconess in battle to prove his mettle. He must gain the loyalty of Gustav, leader of the soldier-class called Archetypes, if he is to have any hope of enforcing his rule.
