The family (father, mother and two teenage boys) rebuilt the cottage and built boat for direct access by sea. Later they rebuilt a decommissioned fishing boat to create a Hebridean charter vessel. The story followes their successes and failures over the years and includes an account of a fire that came close to destroying all their achievements.
