Description:This book is a collection of stores about the work of deported doctors trying to survive, and help others survive, in concentration camps during World War II. "In very primitive conditions, these doctors managed to achieve what sometimes seemed like miracles and thus they became known as "Doctors of Mercy". I don't think any deportee would disagree that the "miracle doctors" snatched from the jaws of death more than half of those who survived.
