Here's to Halloween: 27 Tales of Terror and Suspense (Greece, NY Writers Group Annual Halloween Anthology #3)

Unknown Author
4.9/5 (34705 ratings)
Description:This is the third year our writer’s group, which meets monthly at a big-name bookstore, has generated a Halloween anthology. Our past anthologies can be purchased here: Hapless Halloween (2012) and here: A Handful of Halloween (2013). The goal was simple. Anyone who had ever attended the workshop and could be reached through the distribution list was invited to submit. This included beginners as well as previously published authors. We did not turn anyone down. There were a few simple rules. The stories could not be more than 10,000 words, they had to be geared toward an audience aged 14 and up, and there could not be graphic sex, violence, or extreme swearing/cussing. (In other words, the F-word was off limits.) As always, we will be donating any profits from our book to Mercier Literacy for Children. We wish to continue our love for the written word to our youth. Thank you for supporting us. “Piles” - Make sure you take care of that mound of leaves. “The Witch” – A Halloween Poem. “Fifty-Thousand Dollars-Cursed” - The winning lottery numbers just “popped into his head,” or was there something else to it? “From Samhain to the Mall” – A Halloween poem. “The Woodsman” - Did he give those boys a trick or a treat? “The Avatar Within Me” - Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics at work. “Shaggy’s Diner” - Sometimes it’s a gut feeling. “Treats” – A Halloween poem. “A Night of Blood and Chocolate” - Some vampires are looking for more than their next meal. “Party Killer” – Revenge can be spiritual. “Thriller Flash Mob” – Who wants to be a part of this dance? “The Dawn” – A Halloween poem. “On the Road to Catmanduel” – What can go wrong, picking up a hitchhiker? “The Other Side” - You never know what you might find out in the woods. “Moon Flight” – A Halloween poem. “Unexpected Love and the Stone Gargoyle” – Jealousy and betrayal never go well together. “End Game” - An uninvited visitor brings a request. “A Halloween Tale” - What might come along to seize our children? “The Restored” - Waking up can be a nerve-wracking experience. “A Wish Granted” - Some wishes should never be granted. “971031WTC” – A memory of a Halloween that sparked other memories. “The Gypsy Dress” - A prized dress. “Cousin Larry” - Two boys are left not-so-alone in their house. “Annus Renascentia” - A new start for mankind? “The Spirit of Halloween” – Sometimes things aren’t really what they seem, and sometimes, they are. “Reception” – When tables are turned, it can be a hair-raising experience. “Fun For All” – A Halloween poem.We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
