The Hole in the Falling Sky

Teens Kiana and Kelly have little in common except their rock-solid friendship which more than makes up for their differences. But that started to change when Vaughn, a well-heeled, gorgeous fellow took a shine to Kelly, and her money-hungry mom saw a shot at a life of luxury.

Tough girl Kiana likes getting greasy restoring engines and throwing knives. Softhearted Kelly prefers looking good, playing the cello and cuddly animals. But like magnets to steel, the bond between these girls is naturally drawn tight. Jolene, Kelly’s greedy mother, hates that. The last thing she needs is Kelly’s troublesome best friend upsetting her plans.

Along with the shady and dangerous Vaughn, Jolene schemes to use her daughter in her never ending quest for wealth. Kelly, swayed by love and romance, soon finds herself doubting her friend and pulling away. But a tough girl never walks away from her best friend, and Kiana steps up to battle for Kelly’s soul and their friendship. Only Jolene’s greed knows no bounds and the good-looking hustler isn’t about to forfeit his bride-to-be without a fight. Fleeing her mother and tormented by Vaughn, Kelly joins Kiana on a road trip where they unravel a mystery and find answers to old questions that have haunted her for years. Through it all, the bond of their friendship is tested as they share good and bad times. They also discover that growing up can be awfully hard, but a whole lot of fun too.
