Kingdom of Shadows and Demons (The Forbidden Fae #1)

With a price on her head, only one thing will draw Kassia away from the island she now calls home–revenge–but killing the Demon King means certain death.

For fifteen years, the sole survivor of the Shadow Fae Royal Family, slaughtered by the Demon King, has been hiding from the wicked Fae Court. But learning the Demon King is looking for a Bride draws Kassia back to Shadow City, even knowing that if she is recognized, her life will end in a cruel and painful execution.

Cozying up to her parents’ killer burns fresh wounds in Kassia’s hardened heart, but with a death curse plaguing the Fae Kingdom, her resolve is challenged when she discovers the key to ending their suffering is royal blood: alive...or dead.

Working with the Demon King is her only hope of claiming the throne and the only way to stop the curse, which means Kassia must choose between avenging her family...or saving her people.

That is, if the bridal trials don't kill her before she can complete either task.

Perfect for romantasy fans of Stacia Stark, Clare Sager, and Helen Scheuerer, KINGDOM OF SHADOWS AND DEMONS is an epic slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romantasy with luscious world-building, court politics, morally grey characters, and a shadow daddy you'll crave as your next book boyfriend.
