Buried in Cornwall (Rose Trevelyan #3)

Artist Rose Trevelyan lives a peaceful life in Cornwall. She spends her days sketching on the beach at Mousehole or taking photographs of the harbour at Newlyn.

As she paints a picture of the ruins of an old engine house at a disused mine, a woman’s terrified, high-pitched scream punctures the air.

Did she imagine it? No, it was real. And it sounded serious. Wasting no time, she calls the emergency services.

An ambulance and the cliff rescue team arrive with Detective Inspector Jack Pearce in tow — Rose’s ex-flame. After searching for hours, no one is found. Jack’s furious she’s wasted everyone’s time. But Rose knows what she heard — and her real friends believe her.

Then a local woman is reported missing — and DI Jack Pearce must swallow his pride and ask for Rose’s help. After all, Rose is a person who many people trust to keep their secrets. But there’s one secret she might not be able to keep . . .

Rose must decide what’s more keeping her promise, or helping Jack find the missing woman lost in the beautiful Cornish countryside.
