The Mistake

Is it a crime to save a life?

People would say I’m a respectable, law-abiding citizen. But my baby niece, Grace, is sick. She’s going to die without treatment—expensive treatment. The kind we don’t have the money for.

So when a friend persuades me to seduce a wealthy stranger and steal his designer watch, it’s temptingly simple: one act of wrongdoing in exchange for Grace’s life.

It’s a risk I’m willing to take.

But after witnessing the murder of the man I set out to exploit, everything changes.
Now I have two impossible choices: go to the police and confess everything, or run with the money to save my darling baby Grace.

Or will the killer get to me first?

A compelling thriller full of twists, turns and torment, perfect for readers of Frieda McFadden, Kiersten Modglin, Nicola Sanders and Lisa Jewell. If you enjoyed Gone Girl, The Silent Patient and The Housemaid, you will devour this addictive thriller.
