Destiny, Diaries and Death: Prequel (Witchy at Fifty Cozy Mystery)

Surprise! You’re a witch, you can talk to your cat… and now you need to solve a long-buried murder. Happy fiftieth!

Josie Appleton expected hot flushes and a hangover, not to lose her husband, her home and her sense of normal on her milestone birthday. Broke and desperate, she retreats to the quaint English village of Briarvale to claim an inheritance from the grandmother she never knew. But instead of peace, she finds unpredictable magic, a maddeningly handsome caretaker… and a dead body in the greenhouse.

With the village pointing fingers and her world unraveling faster than a poorly cast spell, Josie must rely on an old diary to clear her name. Her overly opinionated feline familiar insists that if her grandmother solved a murder decades ago, so can she.

But Briarvale’s past has more tangles than a witch’s wig on a windy night. Can Josie master her newfound magic and rookie sleuthing skills, or will she lose everything… again?

Destiny, Diaries, and Death is the prequel novella in the Witchy at Fifty midlife paranormal cozy mystery series.
