The House of Silent Bones (Carys Morgan #2)

The truth won’t stay buried.

When a builder dismantles a crumbling wall in the cellar of a grand seafront house in Tenby, the last thing he expects to find is a human skeleton. The remains belong to a young man who vanished on Hallowe’en night, 1995.

As Detective Inspector Carys Morgan unpicks the lies woven by a tight-knit group of former schoolfriends – a lawyer, a hotelier, a football coach, a chef and a gardener – she uncovers a web of guilt, complicity, and self-preservation that has bound them together for three decades. All of them knew the victim. None of them is telling the truth.

As Hallowe’en approaches once again, Carys realises this isn’t just a cold case. Someone is willing to kill to protect their secrets.

The House of Silent Bones is the second book in the gripping Pembrokeshire crime series – where ancient faith meets modern evil on the wild Welsh coast.
