The Studio on Marco Island (Scott Sisters #5)

Jess Scott teeters on the precipice of a life-altering decision.

With a flourishing career as a renowned art restorer at the world-renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, she possesses the remarkable ability to breathe new life into fading masterpieces. Yet, her heart's masterpiece remains uncompleted—a life together with her high-school sweetheart, Trent Booth.

She has been with Trent since she was 17 and nothing could seem more poetic. However, something threatens to burst the bubble on their Trent’s reluctance to put a due date on their wedding. Despite her attempts to persuade him, Trent’s pessimistic view on marriage from his parents’ failed attempts remains strong and Jess’ frustration only grows.

The last straw is when there are cutbacks at the museum.

Jess takes her severance and moves back home to the sun-kissed Marco Island for some fresh air and a new perspective. She reconnects with old friends and finds footing in her new life just as Trent arrives to win her heart back.

Jess must navigate the complex terrain of love, friendship, and second chances if she’s going to finally paint the picture of her perfect family on the canvas of Trent’s heart.
