Enid (Prairie Roses Collection)

With Fort Bridger scheduled to be decommissioned, Enid Hughes has a choice she must make. Her parents have sold the merchandise from their mercantile and are heading back east. She can go with them, or she can accept the opportunity to escort a perfect stranger across the Oregon Trail.

Trained as a clockmaker, Simon Grainger is on his way to take over his late uncle’s thriving shop. He hires a driver to accompany him, but the man up and quits when they arrive at Fort Bridger. Simon knows he can’t make the remainder of the trip alone, and his only recourse seems to be a feisty young woman who’s willing to show him the way.

Can this unlikely relationship blossom into something more? Or will Simon’s personal challenges scare yet another helper away?
