The Emperor's Secret (Essence Wielder, #7)

As ancient powers awaken, the balance of the world teeters on the brink of collapse.

Dax and his friends have fought to protect the empire from threats seen and unseen, but now they must explain themselves to the Emperor.

As Dax uncovers the true nature of his essence and grapples with his growing power, he realizes that he may be the only one capable of sealing away the danger that threatens to consume the empire. But doing so may require the ultimate sacrifice—one that Dax isn’t sure he’s ready to make.

Dax must face his greatest fears and confront the destiny he never wanted but can no longer escape. The fate of more than the empire hangs in the balance; the connection to essence itself may be in danger of destruction.

Can Dax master his unique connection to essence and save their world, or will he succumb to the darkness that seeks to claim him?
