Inheritance of War (Empire Rising Book 21)

The Karacknid battlefleet has been shattered and Earth and the Human Empire has been saved. With Tanaka-lan’s death, the Karacknid fleets are leaderless and fragmented. Yet victory came at the highest cost. Emperor James Somerville is no more.

Though the immediate Karacknid threat has passed, Humanity is far from safe. The Silizzarus homeworld has been found. Now the shadowy species who have manipulated Humanity for decades have been brought into the light. Yet they know they have been discovered and a world-shattering retaliatory attack may by just months away.

To stop the Silizzarus, James’ grieving family have no choice but to muster their beleaguered forces and strike at the Silizzarus before they can build up a fleet of their deadly warships. Yet the remnants of the Karacknid battlefleet must also be dealt with before they can regain their cohesion. With two threats, north and south, Jonathan and Georgia Somerville must split up as they seek to avenge their father’s death and honour his sacrifice. Neither can afford to fail.

Inheritance of War is the twenty-first book in the military science fiction series Empire Rising.
