Taryn thought moving to Wyoming would be a fresh start—a peaceful life of doing what she loved as a ranch hand. What she didn't expect was to repeatedly fall into bed with her hardworking but grumpy boss, Darek. But it's fine. He's hot as hell. It's fun; it's casual. They're keeping it no-strings-attached.

At least, they were, until he started acting possessive.

Fed up with his jealousy, Taryn is ready to leave and never look back. But Darek has a final Beat him in a race on horseback and he'll let her go, severance pay included. If she loses, though, she'll be at his beck and call for a year.

Taryn knows she can win. She always does. But she also knows her boss doesn't make bets he can't cash. He has to have an ace she can't see. Whatever it is, she's worried that it will bind them together for much longer than a year.
