The Fae's Dragon Princess (Shadows of Fire and Fae)

The second book in the series: Shadows of Fire and Fae.
This was originally part of a collaboration book entitled "From Enemy to Love: A Paranormal Romance Collection" but now has a standalone version on Amazon.

This is Cedar and Amara's story

I thought I was rescuing a little, wounded dragonling—a fragile creature hunted by people and separated from its mother. My secluded forest home, surrounded by the companionship of animals, was my sanctuary from a world I despised. People—violent, untrustworthy, and cruel—filled me with a fear so deep that even the sight of one near my haven would leave me frozen, unable to breathe.

Caring for the dragonling brought unexpected solace, easing the nightmares of my parents’ murder that had haunted me for years. But the simple comfort I had found was shattered when the dragon revealed the truth of who she a stunning woman with fiery red hair, whose every glance stirred emotions I was unprepared to face.

Though I wanted to shut her out, to protect myself from the pain I feared she could bring, I couldn’t ignore the way my heart ached for her. Her presence awakened something in me, something stronger than the fear I had clung to for so long.

Now, I am torn. To let her in would mean risking everything—confronting not only the depths of my fear but the vulnerability of love itself. Yet, to turn away would mean losing the one person who might finally set me free.
