Little hope remains for Livy and Fen. In the merchant town of Norcombe, where opulent manors tower above the shadowed pits of slave markets, the pair face a harrowing submit willingly to servitude, or pay the price of defiance.
Meanwhile, Christian Westhill tightens his grasp on the county. The damning truth behind Livy and Fen's captivity haunts his footsteps, spurring him into an escalating rivalry with the merchants of Norcombe as he asserts control over those who would challenge his burgeoning authority.

Only one loose thread has slipped through Christian's fingers. With the aid of Livy's brother and the enigmatic soldier Roland, Elisaria sets out to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of her friends. Each of the four has lost something precious, yet when one path closes, others open. Hearts bloom in new directions as love glimmers within the ashes of despair, purpose overshadows fear, and opportunity beckons those with the courage to embrace it.

All paths lead to the town of Norcombe, where Christian will stop at nothing to ensure his secret remains hidden.

Set in a fictional medieval kingdom, volume two of The Song of Silver continues the tale of Livy, Fen, Christian, and Elisaria as they mature beyond their formative years in a world darkened by the hardships of feudal life.
