More than thirty years have passed since the first Luminarans arrived on Earth. They are a mysterious species of psychic refugees arriving from an unseen, distant world. For years, they were studied and admired. Now, in the wake of the catastrophic Chicago Storm, they are feared, despised, and hunted. Former Orbital Patrolman, Emmett Hayes, is tasked with the latter. He’s an Old Dallas soldier with a special hatred for the reachers (a common slur), making him more than happy to participate in their total expulsion from the Earth. However, along the course of this galactic genocide, he may be fated to discover a brighter love than he's ever known.
