Vanguard (Empire Lost, #2)

After surviving his first brutal encounter with the alien Scourge on New Messa, Connor completes his training and earns the opportunity to join not only the Titans, but one of the Union's most elite units—the 1st Battalion, the Vanguard.

But as massive fleets converge and humanity prepares for the largest military deployment in its history, Connor discovers that everything he's endured so far was merely the warm up. A ruthless galactic empire has set its sights on human space, bringing overwhelming force to what they believe will be an easy conquest.

But underestimating humanity is a deadly error.

Yet in the shadows, something far older stirs. An enemy from humanity's forgotten past watches the coming war with cold, calculating eyes. They thought their work of extermination was fulfilled millennia ago.

Now they've discovered their genocide was incomplete.

These are merely the first shots in a war that will shatter everything humanity believes about its place in the universe. And Connor Drake stands at ground zero.

Witness the explosive second entry in the Empire Lost series.
