Staff Sergeant Liam Walsh is a white wolf shifter and the second-in-command of the X-Force squad of created shifters. Liam is a born leader, dedicated to his military career and team. But everything changes when he discovers that his true mate is Pauline Nevins, the forensic scientist for Project X-Force.

Pauline is a young woman with a passion for forensic science. Working for Project X-Force was a dream come true, fueled by her love for forensic science and crime-solving shows.

While jogging on the track, a bloodied body came rolling down the hill, knocking Pauline over and knocking off her glasses. As she looked up, she spotted a man raising his hand as if he had a gun and would shoot.

Her life quickly turns to terror when she becomes the target of a ruthless killer. With her glasses knocked off and her defenses down, she's at the mercy of her attacker. But when all hope seems lost, her mate appears, ready to protect her at all costs.
