Claimed at First Sight (Mafia Brides #3; Maximo & Mia Trilogy #1)

He saw. He claimed. He’s determined to conquer.

Mia
Don Maximo Marcos strutted into my life like a dark god in a tailored suit and decided I was his.
Not in a romantic, sweep-you-off-your-feet way. No, in a you-will-bear-my-six-heirs sort of way.
Apparently, I’m the perfect candidate to continue his bloodline. Lucky me.
Too bad I’m not interested in becoming some mafia baby factory.
Even if he’s unfairly gorgeous and his voice does things to me I wish it wouldn’t. The way he looks at me might make my thoughts short-circuit, but I still told him no. Several times.
But Maximo doesn’t accept defeat. Every time I try to escape his attention, he finds another way beneath my defenses.
The worst part?
I’m beginning to suspect I don’t want him to stop.

Maximo
I chose Mia Accardi the moment I saw her.
She has the bloodline, the beauty, and the strength to stand beside me. The fact that she refuses to accept the inevitable only makes the pursuit more satisfying.
She can glare at me. Defy me. Run from me.
She will still become my wife.
Love has nothing to do with it. I need heirs, not weakness, and a woman capable of surviving my world, not consuming my thoughts.
Yet Mia is becoming the one variable I cannot control.
And when her sister’s life is placed in my hands, Mia must decide what her freedom is truly worth.
