One failed bakery, one maxed-out credit card, and one totaled SUV in an Alaskan ravine. My birthday adventure is officially a disaster.I ran to the last frontier to prove I could survive. Now, I'm freezing to death.

The last thing I see before the cold takes me is a mountain of a man, all beard and muscle, who pulls me from the wreckage.

His name is Kade. He’s a scarred, grumpy recluse who wants nothing to do with the world, or me. But the blizzard is a whiteout. We’re trapped. The satellite phone is dead, and there’s only one bed.

He growls at me to stay away, but his eyes devour my curves. He says I don't belong here, but the word mine rumbles from his chest every time his rough hands “accidentally” brush my skin.

He’s a wounded beast, convinced his scars make him a monster. He’s certain that the second the snow melts, I’ll run just like everyone else.

What he doesn't know is that I’m not running from him. I’m running to him.
