The River Goddess: A Prequel

The River Goddess is a mythic fantasy story of gods, mortals, and forbidden love, and a standalone prequel to The River's Daughter.

Set generations before Sahira's story begins, it tells the origin of Naga, the goddess of water, who leaves the divine realm to live among mortals for a thousand-year wager-and falls in love with a mortal prince. As devotion grows between them, the other gods become watchful and jealous, forcing Naga to confront a devastating choice between eternity and love.

Inspired by South Asian mythology, particularly the legends of divine Nagas and Naginis, The River Goddess is a lyrical fantasy exploring feminine rebellion, transformation, and the consequences of defying divine order.

This standalone novella expands the mythic world of Jaraan and reveals the origin of the River Bakki and the serpent mother whispered about in The River's Daughter.
