Stardust

Upon returning home from her first year of college, nineteen-year-old Kirlyam Romana is fighting an endless battle, a battle of hating school so deeply that she can hardly bear the thought of returning next year. As she spends the first few weeks of her summer vacation working for her father, Yohan, the head human Peace Ambassador for the alien planet of Pomii, her plan is to become so essential to his operation that he won’t find it necessary for her to continue her schooling.

When Yohan needs to attend a meeting on Earth, in the capital city of Toronto, he decides to bring his daughter along, fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams of visiting her father’s home planet. After his quick meeting, the two of them will have the rest of the week to explore and relax together. However, that dream vacation quickly turns into a nightmare when, no more than a few hours after touching down on Earth, Kirlyam is kidnapped by the head Commander of the Earth Space Force. She is to be presented to the new Grand Admiral, an enigmatic, mysterious man who never shows his scarred face. The way he delivers swift and less-than-merciful punishment to his crew has Kirlyam terrified to come face-to-face with this man. If these other soldiers could physically overcome her so easily, how was she supposed to survive being in the presence of a hulking, half-synthetic monster?
