Taken by the Enemy (The New York Underworld - The Callahans #2)

Chantal:

I was stolen from my life of comfort by masked men. Now I’m the prisoner of a dead man who wants to watch the world burn.

Lochlan Callahan is supposed to be dead—but the man holding me captive is very much alive. He’s cold and cruel and consumed by vengeance.

My kidnapping was never just about ransom. It’s about destroying everyone I love—including my own family.

My captor thinks he can use me.
But I’m not the sheltered little toy he thinks I am.
Even if I have to play his twisted game to survive.

Lochlan:

They buried me. Mourned me. Took my empire and moved on without me.

Chantal Banks is a senator’s daughter, an art gallery darling, and the best friend of my brother’s wife—which makes her the perfect pawn in my revenge.

Her kidnapping was meant to be leverage. Instead, she becomes a distraction I can’t afford. A temptation that threatens everything I’ve planned.

My captive may fear the man who holds her hostage.
But she’ll learn there’s no escaping a dead man.
Even if keeping her means dragging her into the grave with me.
