For Your Consideration (Knight Enterprises Book 2)

Asher Lawson
As one of the board members of Knight Enterprises, I prefer money over people. Numbers make sense. People don’t.

But puzzles? I’ve always been good at solving those.

That’s what Sutton Bennett was supposed to be when I met her serving food in a crappy diner. Another puzzle to solve.

Instead, she became the woman I can’t stop thinking about.

The more time I spend with her and her daughter, the harder it is to be away from them.

And when her prick of an ex shows up and suddenly decides he wants back in, I know one thing: I’m not walking away from them.

I’ll fight like hell for what’s mine.

Sutton Bennett
After my ex kicked me out the second the stick turned pink, I spent my pregnancy alone before moving to Calgary with my daughter to start over.

Working two jobs while relying on my retired neighbour for childcare wasn’t exactly the life I imagined, but it was ours.

Then a woman walks into the diner and changes my life with a single business card. But it’s the man who orders food he never eats that changes me in ways I never expected.

Asher Lawson is guarded and quiet. Most people see him as cold. But I don’t.

Somehow, beneath the sharp jaw, tattoos, and grunts, I understand him.

We become friends, which is dangerous because people leave. They always have.

But Asher keeps showing up like he might plan to stay.
