Murder in the Shade of Crimson

In the midst of coping with a separation from her husband, life for Ireland Matthews sinks to an even lower low when her sister meets with a tragic end. Days after the crime, Ireland discovers an unsettling letter leaving her with two burning questions: Did her sibling know her life was in danger, and if so, what exactly had she gotten herself mixed up in during the last few months of her life?

When Ireland encounters a masked man several weeks later at a costume party who once knew her sister, she learns that he is on a personal quest to seek the truth. The man suspects a close friend of Ireland's may have been involved in her sister's demise, and he enlists Ireland's help to prove it.

With a strong allegiance to her close friend, Ireland is skeptical of the masked man's firm belief that her friend has something to hide. It isn't long before Ireland realizes that secrets have been kept from her and lies have been told.
