She anticipates a mess inside, but not the star of Annie’s Ghost hanging from attic rafters. The star’s death is eerily like the historic suicide of the resident ghost. Detective Sean O’Connor identifies the star’s death as murder. This propelled Carrie Sue into a dangerous investigation and an unexpected romance. On the advice of a friend, she seeks answers from a trusted psychic. The psychic says greed was the catalyst for murder and senses another body is buried behind the old house. The prediction also carries a warning. Childhood friend Freemont Jackson reminds Carrie Sue; she is a survivor after a lifetime of trauma, but Carrie Sue is doubtful when her life is repeatedly threatened. Thankfully, a stray German Shepard comes to the rescue. He uncovers a vital clue and helps to catch a cunningly evil murderer.
