Dead Perception

What if the dead never truly leave?

Sixty years ago, a young boy named David Shaw vanished without a trace. No body was ever found. No answers were ever uncovered. Over time, the town moved on, the memories faded, and the missing child became little more than an old story people stopped telling.

But some things do not stay buried.

Amelie Babin has spent most of her life avoiding the dead. Raised by her grandmother to follow one strict rule, never speak to the dead, she has learned that spirits become dangerous once they are acknowledged. Most drift through the world confused and broken. Others become something far worse.

When a restless presence at a small town ballfield draws her attention, Amelie realizes the ghost of David Shaw is still searching for a way home.

And she is not the only one who can see him.

Mason Reed, a homeless teenager haunted by spirits of his own, becomes drawn into the mystery as the two uncover pieces of a disappearance the town buried decades ago. What begins as an attempt to help a lost boy move on, slowly reveals something darker lingering beneath the surface, something that has been waiting in silence for far too long.

Blending supernatural mystery with emotional suspense, Dead Perception is a haunting novel about grief, memory, and the unseen things that remain long after the living forget.
