Fair Game (The Stillwell Sliders #2)
Overview
Fake dating my twin brother's teammate was supposed to help both our careers. Falling for him was never part of the deal.
The move to Stillwell, Texas, is a temporary solution. My sports gossip podcast is finally getting noticed, a major studio is interested, and I have no intention of letting anything distract me from the career I've spent years building.
Enter Boone Maddox.
He's the Sliders' championship-winning pitcher, Stillwell's favorite hometown success story, and somehow one of the easiest people I've ever been around. We became fast friends, which is probably why one innocent photo of us together is enough to get people talking.
And strangely enough, the attention is good for both of us.
My podcast gets a boost. Boone's name starts generating buzz again after three seasons stuck in Double-A. So we make a fake date through the offseason, enjoy the publicity, and go back to being friends when spring training starts.
Easy.
Except Boone is annoyingly good at being my fake boyfriend.
Pizza and walk-up song debates turn into actual dates. Pretend affection starts feeling a little too natural. And when a weekend in Dallas leaves us sharing a hotel room with only one bed, the line between friendship and something more gets very hard to find.
We know exactly when this relationship is supposed to end.
I'm just not sure either of us wants it to anymore.
Fair Game is a spicy small-town baseball rom-com
