Heir of the Sages 2: A Progression Fantasy Series (Heir of the Sages, #2)

Sergei Valov has barely returned home, and has already managed to stir the pot.

After dealing with his brother’s immediate problems, he has to make sure he hasn’t left any loose ends behind and that a clan of assassins isn’t about to come looking for him.

Things are no simpler with his relatives. His grandfather hardly welcomed him home, but the situation has changed. The family has learned that the returning heir possesses a Gift, and that changes everything. Whether his relatives can adjust to the new balance of power remains to be seen.

Then there’s the matter of finding a job. Sergei managed to secure an interview with the mysterious Office, only to be offered several months of training. For someone eager to learn more about Gifts and master a few new tricks, it is an extraordinary opportunity.

There is only one problem.

The Office has enemies of its own.
