Odd Rumors: A West Virginia Mystery (Cordelia Rose Paranormal Mysteries #3)

Bigfoot sightings. People vanishing in the woods. A newcomer whose predictions never miss.

Welcome back to Brackenlake.

Cordelia is fully settled into her new town and role now, with an agency that's almost paying its bills, a haunted house that's finally on her side, and a town that calls if so much as a lightbulb starts to flicker.

She's kind of been hoping for a quiet stretch. That doesn't seem likely any time soon.

It begins when people start sighting Bigfoot out in the woods. Charging at hikers. Scaring campers off their sites. Nobody can decide if it's the real deal or an elaborate hoax, but one thing's for something unusual is happening out there.

Alongside the sightings, a few people have started vanishing in the trees. With no clue where they've gone or what happened to them, Cordelia turns to the archives — and discovers this isn't the first time people have gone missing in Brackenlake. In fact, you could almost set your watch by it.

If that weren't enough, there's a new cult in town, gathered around a charismatic leader with the uncanny ability to predict things before they happen. Cordelia half believes him, because — well — she can sort of do the same thing. But his predictions are never good ones. And he never seems to miss.

Then Marlon Hackerty comes to her, convinced someone's following him, sure he's in trouble. Ever the conspiracist. Cordelia's ready to laugh it off, until she sees his evidence, and starts to suspect that this time he might be onto something.

Brackenlake is alive with weird happenings and whispered talk. Can Cordelia untangle it all and figure out what's going on before she vanishes, too?

Odd Rumors is a paranormal mystery with action, comedy, and a small town full of secrets. It features a standalone plot and can be read on its own.
