Detective Kaldis Greek Island Mysteries, Books 1–7 (Andreas Kaldis #1-7)

Sun, sea . . . and murder.

Detective Andreas Kaldis catches killers. It’s the one thing he was born to do — which is why Athens’ thirty-four-year-old hotshot homicide detective has just been “promoted” to police chief of Mykonos, chief dog-and-cat protector of Greece’s most glamorous holiday island.

He wasn't sent to paradise to fight crime.
He was sent there to be forgotten.

Then a terrified workman opens a burial crypt in a remote hillside church. Island crypts hold the bones of the long dead. This one holds a body — and someone has been keeping the church’s candles lit.

Somewhere in Greece, a diplomat’s daughter has gone quiet on her backpacking trip. The season is about to begin. Andreas’s exile is over.

Seven investigations carry him from Mykonos’s all-night glamour to the corridors of Athenian power, a monastery on Patmos, the pilgrim island of Tinos, the vendetta country of the Mani and the slopes of Delphi — with Tassos Stamatos, the old bulldog homicide investigator of the Cyclades, and young Yianni Kouros at his side.
