Among the crew are Captain Stokes and scientific researcher Alburn, whose journal entries, audio logs, and recovered camera footage form the only surviving record of the ill-fated mission.

What begins as a scientific expedition soon becomes a slow unraveling of reality. Strange signal readings echo through the shifting layers of colored plastic. Time loses its meaning.
