The Favourite Child

Some daughters are forgiven for everything...

When Nicole overhears part of a heated conversation between her older sister Cassie and brother-in-law, Joel, she's left feeling unsettled. But days later, when the couple arrive from America for Christmas, Cassie insists everything is fine.

As the family gathers for the holidays, tensions run high. Their mother Jean's dementia is worsening, their father Frank is struggling to cope, and Nicole's husband Rob is acting distant around Cassie. Then there's the uncomfortable feeling Nicole can't shake... her sister is hiding something.

But Cassie is the daughter Frank has always adored and the sister Nicole has spent her life looking up to.

As a disastrous Christmas unfolds and secrets come to light, Nicole begins to see her sister differently for the first time. Because being the favourite child has allowed Cassie to avoid the consequences of her actions for far too long.

Once the festivities are over, and the truth is exposed, their family may never recover from the damage left behind...
