AND THEN There Were Three: A Twisty, Whodunnit, Small Town Cozy Mystery (AND THEN: The Luci Mitchell Cozy Mysteries)

But Carl Johnson never existed.

Librarian Luci Mitchell thought she'd found the perfect partner to help acquire rare manuscripts for her family library's renovation. Carl Johnson was charming, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely invested in bringing literary treasures to their small town.

Then she found his body in the alley beside the library.

Detective Daniel Flinn delivers the devastating truth: the man Luci knew as Carl Johnson never existed. Someone used a fake identity to get close to the Mitchell Library…and now that someone is dead.

Played for a fool and haunted by a death she may have inadvertently caused, Luci is determined to uncover the truth. But in a small town where everyone has secrets, asking questions and getting answers can be… difficult.

Her only witness? Simon, her African Gray parrot, who was there the night of the murder. The problem? Simon isn't talking. At least, not about the right things.

Because…

Someone used a dead man's name to get into the Mitchell Library.

They say every rare manuscript has a story behind it…

This one has a body count, and the killer forgot that Simon, the parrot, was listening.
