Barbecue Bedlam (Nightsmith Novelties Cozy Mysteries, #17)

The burgers are hot, the guests are happy…
and one friend never makes it to the party.
For the first time in her life, Bridget Rowan has a house with a big backyard, and she intends to make the most of it. A Labor Day barbecue with friends seems like the perfect way to celebrate, and for once, everything goes exactly as planned.

Almost.

Miranda was supposed to join them after making a quick stop to check on a client, but as the evening winds down, she still hasn’t arrived. Her husband, Jeff, is growing increasingly worried, and when he and Eve go looking for her, they find something far worse than a delayed dinner guest.

They find a murder scene.

But Miranda is nowhere to be found.

With one person dead and their friend missing, Bridget and the others are pulled into a race against time. Was Miranda a witness? A target? Or is there something about her disappearance that no one has considered?

As secrets begin to surface and the list of questions grows, Bridget knows one thing for certain: finding the truth may be the only way to bring Miranda home alive.

A fast-paced small-town cozy mystery filled with friendship, secrets, amateur sleuthing, twists, and plenty of heart. Perfect for fans of clean cozy mysteries, puzzling whodunits, and clever female sleuths.
