Captain Felicity Roberts commands a Q-Ship. Outwardly a large freight liner, the Mancunian’s primary function is intelligence gathering. With the war between the Intercorporate Consortium and the World Treaty Council intensifying and the Consortium’s hostile seizure of colony worlds, her role is critical.
Nor is the Consortium the only enemy; the Pantheon, an organisation that provides very efficient assassins, is at work in support of the Consortium and Fleet Security want them stopped.
Captain Roberts and her crew find themselves fighting in the shadows, supplying vital intelligence to Fleet Task Forces, ferrying agents and identifying threats.
Meanwhile young Erwin Horton, rescued from Terra Nova to escape being used as a hostage, is drawn into the web of surveillance and security.
