Overview
Trying to popularize Spiritism and make its dissemination easier and quicker, Allan Kardec, without prejudice to the basic works of the Spiritist Doctrine, wrote this little book and distributed it throughout France, for a very accessible price, to those who were interested in it. This booklet is divided into three chapters: "History of Spiritism", "Summary of Spirits' teachings" and "Maximums extracted from the spirits' teachings" and aims to "give, in a very concise overview, a history of Spiritism and a sufficient idea of the Spiritist Doctrine so that one can understand its moral and philosophical objective".
