This is the lie that I told. He told the truth. Our versions were contradictory but his history of violence, the contributing factor in the outcome. I was the victim of his violence and that is the only truth that they cared about

Sixteen weeks after Katelyn's suicide attempt she is ready to re-join the real world. She doesn't miss anything about her past or the ex boyfriend whose abusive behaviour made her believe she had no other options. The thing about the past though, it has a habit of chasing you and sometimes the people you try to leave there just cannot let it all go.

Now Bentley, the handsome and enigmatic outlaw motorcycle club member has entered her life and has brought a whole new level of complicated dangers to her world. How can they make a relationship work while her ex is stalking her? Will Bentley take matters into his own hands? How far are they all willing to go?

Is it too much to ask for Katelyn to eventually find peace in all of the chaos of her existence?
