Birth of the Black Orchids (Black Orchid Enterprises #1)

When the Christmas grand opening to his small-town enterprise is crashed by a killer, will this young lawyer’s fresh start get buried?

Beauchamp, Texas. JD Thompson has had his fill of stuffy legal offices. Escaping corporate law to go all-in with friends operating out of a Victorian mansion, the socially in-tune attorney prays he can pay off his student debt while serving the greater good. Working alongside his accountant-ex and his cat vet college pal, his biggest fear is paying the bills until one of the guests keels over from eating incorrectly labeled, peanut-laden party food.

With a houseful of invitees, the twenty-something leaps into action to find the perpetrator from among dozens of suspects. But with well-meaning family members complicating the rush to solve the holiday homicide, he fears the gavel might be coming crashing down on his new career.

Can JD and his compatriots unmask the culprit in time to ring in the New Year?
