Order of Enishra (Age of DragonFire #1; DragonFire #4)

Age of Dragonfire – Order of Enishra, is the first story in the Dragonfire series’ second arc: Age of Dragonfire. An exciting new selection of stories set in the world of Enishra, following the original Dragonfire trilogy.

In the absence of darkness there will be light, nevertheless, even the glow of the brightest flame is never enough to hold back every creeping shadow.

Six years have passed since the Second Battle of Dardien, the defeat of the Great Master and the turning of the age. In the wake of victory, new orders and alliances have risen from the old-world’s ashes. Even so, in this new age of relative peace and prosperity, not all dragons are so relaxed.

Burdened with the memories of her past, Ember is now the proud leader of the Order of Enishra’s finest wing, and yet life is not so easy for the battle-hardened dragoness. Where she once fought side by side with those she was sworn to protect, now she is little more than a champion of the order, a shining example to be paraded around by politicians and bureaucrats.

Not all is as it seems, however. Hidden enemies stir in the shadows, for decades a monster has bided his time, waiting for this moment. The order is still vulnerable; will Ember finally get the chance to prove her wing is worthy, for the sake of the new age?

This year, the fourth instalment of the dragonfire fantasy series brings more of the epic world of Enishra to life. Following the fates and adventures of many of the star characters from the original trilogy.
