Losers Club (Losers Club, #1)

Old Archie the postman has been murdered and is resting in peach in Mrs Hubbard’s ice cream freezer.

Newly divorced and back living with her parents on a remote Scottish island, Penny Moon finds herself the accidental leader of a new diet group, Losers Club. One of their number, Elsie the librarian, is devastated by Old Archie’s death. Cut off from the mainland by a storm, Losers Club take it upon themselves to investigate. Despite being side-tracked by a disappearing hamster, Chesney Hawkes and a wet gusset, Penny corrals her team of amateur detectives and follows the clues. Why is Captain Rab so bitter? Where is the witness to Old Archie’s murder? Why are Penny and her friends legally dead? As the storm rages, the violence escalates and a secret, kept by the islanders for half a century, is revealed.
