The Girly Girl (The Girls)

“Is this your makeup in the bathroom?”
My heart stops. I deny it. But she knows it’s mine.

I asked her out so many times. And each time she told me no. Until she finally said yes. Just one date even though I wasn’t her type. Dinner. Then just one drink back in my apartment.

My one shot. And now it’s over because I didn’t hide my makeup. She’s going to storm out, and I’ll never see her again. But she doesn’t leave. She goes to my bedroom.

When she comes out, she’s holding a dress. My dress. “I want you to wear this for me.” My mouth is dry, and my whole body is trembling. I can’t do this. I can’t let her see my true self. Can I?
