Ice Cold Boss

He’s ruthless. He’s my new boss.
And he’s used to getting what he wants.

I’m drunk when I send my job application to Henry Marchand.
“It’s not like you’re going to consider hiring me anyway, you elitist.”
Yep—that’s actually what I write. Excuse me while I start tunneling to China.

When he summons me for an interview, I’m floored. But I’m also unemployed, so I say yes. Yes, absolutely, yes. He offers me the position of his personal assistant.

Is it the job I want? No. But his firm is brilliant, and I’m determined to work my way to the top. Nothing will stand in my way, not even an inconvenient attraction to my new boss.

He’s competitive, ambitious, harshly good-looking. His new favorite sport is challenging me—my limits, my wits. The chemistry between us soon sizzles and burns. Lines get blurred. Boundaries are crossed.

He’s not as cold as he seems.
And he wants me.
