Rook to King (Love and Treasure #2)

He's a reformed con man. I'm an antique dealer. The problem? We're after the same chess set, and I can't decide which I want more: the treasure or him.

When Bodie King strolls into my antique shop, with a smile that could charm anyone, I know two things:

1. He's trouble.
2. I'm going to have to keep my guard up because I like trouble.

He's searching for a priceless chess set—the same one I'm looking for. When he finds out he can't charm the location out of me, he resorts to some mild break-ins and kidnapping. All in a day's work for him.

But when someone sets my antique store on fire, it puts my life on the line.

Imagine my surprise when Bodie appoints himself as my reluctant protector… which is way more dangerous. Because the real risk isn't losing the chess set—it's losing my heart.

Bodie's made it clear that he wants me. And if there's one thing I know about Bodie King, it's that he never plays fair.

Note: Rook to King is a closed door romantic comedy adventure featuring morally gray characters. There is some mild language and a meddling grandma. Read at your own risk.
