அசோகமித்திரன் குறுநாவல்கள்: முழுத்தொகுப்பு [Ashokamitran Kurunovelgal]

Asokamitran is one of the greatest living tamil writers. His stories portray a time passed through the eyes of a middle class life. These novelettes also has the same everyday humans as their heart.
Like his characters, his language is also one rare of embellishments; but adorned with nuances and a brightness. He choses the common person's voice to say a story, or politics or life. He has strong political opinions, so does his characters. But as the way politics interferes in the everday life of a middle class person.

Ashokamitran's stories have a melancholy similar to the apartment life of the cities. Middle class life and their contradictions with the classes above and below are portrayed in his stories. The inability of a common person in face of this contradictions is crossed with a satire.

Asokamitran's novelettes are voices from a time passed, that still have relevance and appeal to readers.
