Description:The minimum luminances required for the resolution of each of three acuity gratings were obtained five seconds after the end of adaptation to each of four luminances and after thirty minutes of dark adpatation. Such thresholds were found using either the natural pupil or a 3 mm artificial pupil in combination with a 0.016 second test flash duration or a 0.40 second test flash duration.
