To Ignite a Pyrite Spirit (The Dryad Chronicles)

Where there is smoke. . . there is always fire. After the migration to their new home, dragons ruled the skies without fear. Until a shadow dragon appears with a deal too enticing to ignore. Aedan and his group of mages seek shelter in exchange for a bonding ritual of their golden king, Eldates, to the mage’s beautiful high priestess with the eyes that reflect the sun.

Even though Cenara has agreed to bond with his brother, Valk refuses to lose out on the opportunity to claim her for himself instead. Despite the fact that pyrite doesn't shine as brightly as gold, it doesn’t take long to realize she can’t fight off the heat between them anymore than he can. As more of her secrets come to light out of whispers from the shadow of an old god, all of his morals are called into question. To love the mage would mean turning his back on his family. With everyone around him demanding action, he’s left with only one decision to confront what he thinks might be genuinely evil or surrender himself to their plans on behalf of his heart. Is the cost of Valk’s soul a worthwhile trade for his spirit as long as it’s done in the name of love?To ignite a Pyrite Spirit is part of the Bound by Flame multi author collection and also takes place in the Dryad Chronicles world with ties to characters in other books.
